As of 2022, Elisabeth Moss has gained a little weight. Her weight gain journey for her movie role is rumored by fans.

She does not have a visible weight gain, but the actress hasn’t discussed whether or whether she purposefully took on weight for her character in “The Handmaid’s Tale.”

People may be familiar with the actress from her role as Peggy Olson on the television program “Mad Men.” Sadly, Peggy begins gaining weight in the first season since she is unaware that she is pregnant.

The actress created the illusion that she had altered using prosthetics, a fat suit, and clothing with added padding. She didn’t put on any weight for the part, though.

Elisabeth Singleton Moss is an American actor who was born on July 24, 1982. She has won multiple awards, including two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, and two Primetime Emmy Awards. Vulture has dubbed her the “Queen of Peak TV.”

When Moss first started acting in the early 1990s, she became well-known for her role as President Josiah Bartlet’s youngest daughter, Zoey Bartlet, in the NBC political drama The West Wing (1999–2006). She became more well-known for her role as Peggy Olson, a former secretary turned copywriter, in the AMC period drama series Mad Men (2007–2015).

She then won the Critics’ Choice Television Award and the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Miniseries or Television Film for her portrayal of Detective Robin Griffin in the BBC miniseries Top of the Lake (2013). Moss won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series and Outstanding Drama Series for producing and playing June Osborne in the Hulu dystopian drama series The Handmaid’s Tale (2017–present).

Additionally, Moss has received praise for her performances in movies, including supporting parts in Girl, Interrupted (1999), Get Him to the Greek (2010), and Us (2019), as well as leading roles in The One I Love (2014), The Square (2017), The Invisible Man (2020), and Shirley (2020). Moss was born in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of musicians Ronald Charles Moss and Linda Ekstrom Moss; her mother is a professional jazz and blues harmonica player. Moss has one younger brother; she was raised a Scientologist. Her father is British; her mother is partially Swedish.

When she was younger, Moss traveled to New York City to study ballet at the School of American Ballet. Later, she continued her ballet training with Suzanne Farrell at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Throughout her teenage years, she continued to study dance, but she also began landing acting roles. She started homeschooling in order to balance her studies and career, and she graduated in 1999.

In 1990, Moss made her acting debut in the NBC miniseries Lucky/Chances. From 1992 to 1995, she played Cynthia Parks in seven episodes of the TV series Picket Fences. She also provided the voices of Holly DeCarlo and Michelle in the animated films Once Upon a Forest (1992) and Frosty Returns (1992). (1993). She acted as Harvey Keitel’s younger daughter in the movie Imaginary Crimes and made an appearance in the television adaptation of the 1993 movie Gypsy (1994).

She played a young Ashley Judd in the television movie biopic Love Can Build a Bridge (1995) the following year.
