It tells the narrative of James Whitehouse, a Parliamentary minister who is married with a gorgeous family and who is a happily married guy. However, his affair as well as a sexual assault case against him make the situation sour.
As the case progresses, the details of his previous crimes, which are connected to the prosecutor Kate Woodcraft, become clearer.

James Waterhouse recognised lawyer Kate Woodcraft as Holly Berry, whom he had known since elementary school. Later on, though, he came to grasp the truth.
Initial allegations of sexual assault against Olivia were brought forward at the court hearing, and the case was narrowed to that. However, as the case progressed, another complaint was made, claiming that James had caused the death of another person as a result of his conduct.
According to a member of the Oxford administration who came forward, there was another student who had been abused in a manner identical to Olivia’s. When queried about the victim’s identity and whereabouts, the name Holly Berry came up as a possibility.
Furthermore, when asked where the girl was, it was revealed that she had fled the country. Waterhouse, on the other hand, claimed that he was unaware of any girl by that name. However, when his wife Sophie recognised the name, she began to have doubts about him.
Holly was one of Sophie’s undergraduate friends, and her unexpected disappearance caused Sophie to question whether or not her husband had committed an unthinkable crime. While on the other hand, James remembered Holly and the things he had done to her in the past.
Then, towards the end of the interrogation, he realises that Kate is Holly. He discovered this when she brought up the phrase he used to describe Olivia to him. He’d said the same thing to Holly before, and she’d recognised him as The Cinemaholic.
Despite the fact that he was aware of the facts, he chose to remain silent in order to avoid becoming embroiled in another investigation. Furthermore, he was spared punishment by the jury, although his fate was not a happy one.
Character Kate Woodcraft Twisted Ending Explained
Kate Woodcraft, a character on ABC’s Anatomy of a Scandal, had a bizarre finish. First and foremost, it was discovered that Woodcraft, a prosecutor, was one of the victims of James’ assault.
When she was a student at Oxford, she went by the given name Holly. However, according to a reliable source, she left the university when James abused her.
After that, she enrolled in a red brick university to study law, eventually rising to the position of prosecutor specialising in cases of relationship r*pe and sexual assault. She changed her name to Kate Woodcroft because she was afraid that her previous name would bring back unpleasant memories.
Her middle name Kate was chosen, as was her ex-surname, husband’s in order to forge an entirely new identity for herself.
