According to a video that was obtained by TMZ, after the violent altercation, Clenney was taken into custody while covered in blood and wearing a bra. Larry Handfield, an attorney for the Obumseli family, has requested the authorities to reopen the investigation. According to him, law enforcement personnel attended at least four separate domestic disturbance calls at the couple’s residence, but Obumseli was never taken into custody.
Handfield went on to say that Clenney was not taken into custody despite the fact that he was supposedly wanted for public intoxication in California in 2015 and that there was an active warrant for his arrest. At the time of his death, Clenney was reportedly set to appear in a Texas court on a charge of driving under the influence in the year 2020.
