‘Better Nate Than Ever’ was filmed entirely in New York City in order to maintain the film’s authenticity and to give the story its authenticity. Scenes were shot at the Archbishop Stepinac High School, which is located at 950 Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains, within the first month of the production’s shooting schedule. In order to film the theatre sequences for the ‘Lilo and Stitch’ musical, the New Amsterdam Theatre, located at 214 West 42nd Street, was utilised. Even the marquis of the theatre was said to have displayed signs for the imaginary musical for a short period of time.
Nate sings on the street and becomes popular on Tik-Tok as a result of his performance in one of the most iconic scenes from the film, which is shown below. Those familiar with Times Square Plaza will be pleased to know that this scene was taken at the TKTS Booth on West 47th Street, which sells tickets to Broadway performances.
