Anele Tembe: What Happened With Her? Chef Died After Falling From the Tenth Floor
Anele Tembe passed away in Cape Town in April 2021 as a result of a fall from a ten-story building. She was engaged to South African rapper AKA.
Three months after the horrible death of Tembe, the National Prosecuting Authority handed the case back to the police for extra inquiry.
The police initially finished their inquiry into Nelli Tembe’s passing in December. Although they emphasized that it had aspects of a suspicious murder, they claimed that the death was a case of suicide. As a result, it was decided to order more research into the matter.
Police Conclude Anele Tembe’s Death
The police have declared that the investigation into Anele Tembe’s death is over. The police have not yet released their full report, though.
The “Suicide investigation” that led to Tembe’s death was initially launched. Moreover, her boyfriend, AKA, had denied his role in Tembe’s death, stating that she took her own life. It is now claimed to have elements of murder.
‘Kindly be advised that the investigation into the case you are referring to has been concluded,’ Western Cape police spokesperson Joseph Swartbooi said.
In order to preserve the privacy of the family, he continued, “The case has subsequently been referred to the National Prosecuting Authority for a decision. Accordingly, the merits of the case will not be addressed on an open platform.”
Anele Tembe: Who Was She?
The 11th of October 1999 saw the birth of Anele “Nelli” Tembe. She is from the seaside city of Durban in eastern KwaZulu-Natal.
Tembe wanted to become a chef. At the Jackie Cameron School of Food & Wine, she was a student.
Nelli first gained attention when she started dating rapper Kiernan Forbes, better known by his stage moniker AKA. In February 2021, the couple announced their romance to the public after almost two years of dating.
The couple’s engagement story was then furthered by Nelli’s breath-taking photographs of an engagement ring on her finger.
Her boyfriend, AKA, had written a lengthy obituary for Tembe and uploaded it on Instagram four months after her passing. He shared an image along with the caption:
“This day, 4 months ago. It remains forever. I want to pray for her, myself, and our families every day. I’ll never be the same person I once was, but I’ll use the gift and chance of life I still have to do the most good I can. I’d like to express my gratitude to everyone who has supported my family and mine. You understand who you are.
He added, “I will never forget this day,” to his letter. 11/04/2021. I offer daily prayers for your family’s and my family’s recovery. I hope that one day, at the same time and place, we can all gather and pay our respects to you and your memories.
Where Is the Family of Anele Tembe Now?
The mother of Anele Tembe is Lulu Tembe, and the father is Moses Tembe. After her mother allegedly committed suicide, her father allegedly married Princess Ntandoyesizwe.
Nelli grew up next to her South African actress older sister Nondumiso Tembe.
Moses Tembe, the devastated father, claims that his daughter had a lofty aspiration. He said his daughter wished to open Mzansi’s first restaurant to receive a Michelin star. He also refutes the claim that his daughter committed suicide.
